Had many questions on install but since I was installing it myself. Both Deny and Lori at Lifestyle were very helpful and answered all my questions. All parts and pieces were in the boxes, no wasted trips to the hardware store. Took longer than expected due to my garage door opening being a little too small, but not to where it wouldn't work. I am a retired carpenter and my son who helped me is a carpenter, so if your planning on doing it yourself it can be challenging. Hardest part was the screening. Oh and all the Youtube videos were tremendously helpful! Love it!

This comes as a 'kit' you assemble for the main door. First you assemble the frame and then add the screen to it. The screen installs fairly easily but it is time consuming to stretch the screen material on the frame. (Only the sliding screen door is preinstalled with the screen.)I purchased the white screen which, during the day, almost looks like the garage door is closed. You CANNOT see through it from the outside during the day, but at night you can see in if there is a light on in the garage, the same as with reflective windows. Overall I am very pleased with the results and how well the videos explain each step. I had my notebook PC in the garage as I assembled everything and it made the written instructions much easier to understand. BUT be sure to read the written instructions as the videos do miss a few fine points in the installation.The photos show the finished install. Note during the daytime with the white privacy screen the only thing you can see inside is the light I had on. The view from the inside shows how it works like a one way mirror. I included detail of the track to show how it relates to the garage door track. Not hard to install and they even have a place to mount the safety photo eye for your garage door opener including a 'mask' so the garage door won't come down when the screen is in place!
Most probably don’t buy this yo keep their dog from getting out of garage, but we did! My husband and I spend a lot of time in garage on weekends and it gets so hot out there when there is no moving air! This is great because it allows for a nice breeze. Keeps our small dog in and it looks nice! Most importantly it helps keep insects out! It does require quite a bit of clearance on the sides so it will go up and down freely! The instructions were not great but we were able to fight things out. We found it easier to install the screen after hanging rather than prior to hanging as instructions stated.
The wife and I love this screen door. Engineering at its finest, but I can't believe how bad these instructions are. You would think with such a great product, the instructions would be great too.I took a bunch of pictures and have typed notes with some do's and don't to help people because these instructions are horrible, but I realize I can't upload pictures like that in these reviews.Just some quick notes, if you have a truck that is a bit high and you want to continue to park it in the garage, this is not the product for you. You got to pick and choose your battle. I've read one person said they had a gap around the screen door. You must have the weather stripping around your garage door. Mines had one already. I can't remember what else I read to help out, but if you want me to email some pictures, I will gladly send them.
This sounds great! Can you close the garage door while the screen is down? Unfortunately, our concern is coyotes. We are building out a home gym and will not be out there at night but I do know coyotes roam during the day. I know screens won’t keep coyotes from getting in but I figured it’ll deter them enough to allow us to close the garage if need be. This is not an attached garage so a quick escape into the house is not an option. If the garage door closes with the screen down then I’m interested.
We love ours but we were lucky to have a relative in the garage door business who knows how to install them properly.
We have had ours for 4 years now and have enjoyed it tremendously. We ordered the darker screen as it gives a bit more privacy from the curb and street.
Does it provide easy see through from the inside as wells as keep from others seeing from the outside? Kind of like a 1 way visibility product!
I love my screens. I did hire a professional garage door company. They had to raise my existing tracts for these to fit. It did cost me more in labor and materials but it was well worth it! I absolutely love my screens and the door. My garage is so nice and cool now. The screen does seem to provide sun protection. Highly recommend these but be prepared to make some modifications to your existing garage door tracts

I purchased an 8' x 18' screen with the white PVC screening material from a local dealer. I assisted him with the installation. Since he had done enough installations it wasn't terribly difficult but it took all day and that was with him know the drill. If I had chosen to do the installation by myself? No way I could have done it.OK. The door I bought is huge, and relatively heavy especially with the door in the middle. Unfortunately this central door was the only reason I opted to go with it in the first place. Problem is that the door makes the center really heavy and an 18' frame just isnt sturdy enough. Therefore the whole frame is bowed by almost an inch and I cant see a way around it. The door does hang low and if my garage had been a 7 footer I would have an even greater problem and concern.The other issue I have is that a screen frame this large makes it nearly impossible to have the screening material remain taut--not in a moving flexible frame. If the frame were fixed and permanent, maybe. But not something that is jerked open and closed frequently. Having said all this I think this thing is still pretty cool and I enjoy having it open. I am writing this review just so you make your purchase with full knowledge of what to expect.
Great DIY project for the moderate to advanced DIY’er. Splining the screen in is the hardest part. For someone who already owns the tools it’s worth installing yourself. The instructional videos are the best I’ve ever seen. Professional installers quoted me $950 so I just did it myself.

Requires alot of assembly and installation time. Well made and feels good once it's installed though.
Works extremely well, only issue I see, when you open and close the door, you have to do it from the bottom of the handle or it will come out of the track.
